As a non-profit organization, we recognize the systemic barriers faced by these communities and aim to bridge the gap by providing access to essential tools, knowledge, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Ideal Candidate has been able to help support 750 Black and Latine youth graduate from its reach for the stars program, placed black and latine youth in 431 jobs, partnered with 18 hiring partners and 17 education partners, and achieved a $19.3 million value in community impact.

Intended Outcomes

Ideal Candidate is dedicated to ensuring that more young people of color from Chicago, especially Black and Latine youth, receive educational workforce training, professional development and support, and the opportunity to get placed in well-paying jobs in growing industries. It is our mission to help address systematic racism by acting as an intermediary between young people of color and employers that aspire to be champions of equity.

Our dedicated Executive Board of Directors is comprised of passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds, our board brings together a wealth of expertise and a shared commitment to advancing our mission of empowering Black, Latine, and under-resourced communities.

From experienced educators to business leaders and community advocates, each member of our board brings unique insights and skills to guide our organization forward. Together, we strategize, innovate, and collaborate to create impactful programs and initiatives that make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
