Ideal Candidate NFP is governed by its Executive Board and strengthened by its Advisory Board and volunteer Career Champions. Together, they guide and expand our nonprofit impact.

Story
Founder: Kevin P. Davenport
Kevin P. Davenport founded The Ideal Candidate in 2016 after seeing talented people secure opportunities but struggle to retain them because of gaps in communication, professionalism, and workplace readiness.

A workforce-development leader, entrepreneurship educator, three-time author, and nationally recognized founder, Kevin has spent more than 15 years preparing people and organizations to perform at a higher level.

Practitioners Who Prepare People to Perform
Our trainers turn workplace expectations into practical, engaging learning experiences.

Through direct instruction, simulations, coaching, and real-world application, they prepare participants to communicate effectively, interview confidently, navigate conflict, demonstrate leadership, and succeed during their first 90 days.
